About Ficus Bonsai Tree

Here at Prickle, we've always been a little bit obsessed with Bonsai Trees - what’s not to love about a tiny tree for your home? So we wanted to find the best beginner Bonsai for you - the Ficus Ginseng. This tree is iconic for its big trunk and twisted roots, we've got a range of sizes to suit any home, make a statement with our extra-large Ficus.

The Ginseng Ficus is an average grower and won't get any bigger than 1.3m tall. When picking a spot to keep your Bonsai Tree in, make sure it's nice and warm (16-24°C) with no drafts and bright, indirect sunlight. The Ficus doesn't like a change in temperature, and without enough sunlight, their leaves will drop.

Bonsai Tree care is nice and low maintenance, they only need to be watered when their soil is dry. In fact, they hate sitting in water so make sure you don't overdo it! Mist them on occasion and clean their leaves regularly to keep them happy. Your Bonsai Tree needs repotting every 2 years too, so be sure to remember this! Keep little Pricklettes away from your Bonsai as while it may look cute, it is poisonous to children and pets.

At Prickle, we are always here to hear you! Send us your Bonsai Tree questions @Prickleplantsuk.
